College football score, NCAA top 25 rankings, schedule, games today: Nr. 21 Texas A&M, Ole Miss in action

If the first game of the week involving a ranked team was an indication, we could be in another wild week of college football. Coastal Carolina dropped No. 21 Louisiana 30-27 Wednesday night to launch the Week 7 action, which features several other ranked teams in action against non-ranked enemies. So while the SEC on CBS Game of the Week, which places No. 2 Alabama against No. 3 Georgia, is clearly Saturday’s headliner, many other top teams should be on standby in games they will be favored to win.

With matchups involving top 10 teams from the SEC, Big 12 and AAC, the ACC is exposed at the center as No. 13 Miami and No. 1

Clemson both play in today’s early wave. Coming out of a thrashing into the hands of Clemson, the Hurricanes are hosting a Pittsburgh team that is a continuous one-point loss away from being 5-0. However, the Panthers play without their starting quarterback. Meanwhile, the top-ranked Tigers have to travel to Atlanta to meet a Yellow Jackets team that has just hung 46 points at Louisville. Later in the day, No. 4 Notre Dame hosts Louisville, and No. 5 North Carolina plays Florida State in a pair of games that could show how deserving the Fighting Irish and Tar Heels really are by their high ranking.

There is a lot to cover with these games and everything in between. CBS Sports will be here every single step of the way to update you with the latest scores, highlights and stories throughout the day. All times eastern
