Well, it is one way to turn a frog into a prince.
Christina Haack has revealed that she met her new boyfriend, real estate agent Joshua Hall, after smoking the hallucinogenic poison from a kind of toad.
“I met Josh when I was not in fear or fight-or-flight,” she began in a statement from Tolstoy, which was sent to Instagram on Thursday. “I had taken time off from socializing, hired a spiritual trainer and smoked a Bufo toad (which basically reset my brain and kicked years of anxiety out in 15 minutes).”
Haack refers to bufo alvarius, a species of, well, toad that excretes a poison containing 5-MeO-DMT, a potent psychoactive compound four to six times more powerful than its better known cousin DMT, per. Addiction Center. “Smoking”
The noted authority over the outer limits of human consciousness, Mike Tyson, explained to Joe Rogan in 2019 that “I have never been the same” after his experience with “the toad”.
“I look at life differently, I look at people differently,” he grew. “It’s almost like dying and being reborn … It’s unthinkable. I tried to explain it to some people, to my wife, I do not have the words to explain it. It’s almost like you’re dying, you’re submissive, you’re humble, you’re vulnerable – but you’re still invincible in everything. ”
But Robert Anthony Villa, a researcher and president of the Tucson Herpetological Society, warned in September that the current boom in bufo poison has made the species “susceptible to exploitation” and proclaimed a method for synthesizing 5-MeO-DMT in a laboratory to protect them.
And now back to Haack: She goes on to explain that when she met Hall this spring, they “synchronized us so hard and fast that they were impossible to ignore. I immediately felt crazy protective of him and wanted to keep him to myself and get to know each other before the tornado (media attention) hit. We have had a few solid months with just us getting to know each other and I have loved every second of it. ”
Explaining that she was very fond of dragging him into her level of fame, where “false tales [are] thrown around left and right, ”she says the couple“ decided what is in the past is in the past. ”
“We do not look at all the nonsense online,” she continued. “The internet and the social are good for companies or keeping up to date with families / friends, but can also be toxic and (let’s be right) pretty fake.
Haack goes on to thank the hall for “pulling me away on a romantic tropical vacation that he planned all on his own.” She did not add if the couple has any toad-related plans abroad.
“Flip or Flop” star Haack announced in September 2020 that she and husband Ant Anstead are divorcing. Anstead then continued with two-time Oscar winner Renée Zellweger, just days after the news broke that he had ended his divorce from Haack.
