Police say a Chinese student found safe three days after he was violently taken from a parking lot north of Toronto, has been released from the hospital.
York Regional Police Const. Andy Pattenden says that Wanzhen Lu was taken to the hospital after he was located in Gravenhurst, Ont., More than 150 kilometers from where he was forced into a van in Markham, Ont. on Saturday
Pattenden says that he was treated for minor injuries, sent back to the York Region, and is currently meeting with investigators.
He says that Lus's family is also present and soon reunited with him.
Pattenden says police are now completely focused on finding four suspects after Luke's alleged kidnapping.
A 35-year-old Toronto man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the case, but Pattenden says he was subsequently released "unconditionally" at no charge.
