Comedian Chelsea Handler revealed she is over her infatuation with New York government Andrew Cuomo after he was accused of sexual misconduct.
“I found out all the things we found out about him … and I thought, yeah, it’s a guy who doesn ‘t like it being offered. So my love affair with him is, yeah, OVER, told Handler “Sway” podcast host Kara Swisher on Thursday.
Handler previously revealed that she had asked Cuomo on a date after the two had a few conversations during her HBO Max special “Evolution” back in October 2020.
“I offered myself up to Andrew Cuomo,” Handler recalled during Thursday’s podcast. “In the pandemic, I was very turned on by his morning news conferences, as many of us were.”

However, the date never happened.
“He jumped me off,” Handler told Swisher.

Cuomo later responded to Handler, saying he only died with “New York residents” at the time.

“I’m a big fan of Chelsea and she’s great and we’re having fun,” Cuomo said during a performance on “The View” in October.
“But in my dating life, I only go out with residents at this point. I go out with New Yorkers, and so if Chelsea change residence, we might be able to figure it out.”

At least six women have come forward to accuse the governor of sexual misconduct, most of whom are former Cuomo employees. The New York governor has denied the allegations and refused to resign from his political role.
