Channels black out from July 4th
Internet users can now stream live TV using DirecTV Now. The streaming service offers a comprehensive channel list cheaper than most cable providers.

Some DirecTV and AT & T U-verse subscribers were woken up Thursday to find the lost access to Nexstar stations.
More than 120 stations in 97 markets across the country, including ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC affiliated stations, went dark at 2359 local time on July 3, after Nexstar and AT&T failed to reach agreement. , both sides said in competing statements that they each owe the other to blackout.
"Nexstar has removed its channels from your lineup even though we offered Nexstar more money to keep them available to you," AT&T said in its statement released at https://tvpromise.att.com. "Nexstar simply said no and chose to remove them from your lineups instead of putting you in the middle of the negotiations."
According to Nexstar, AT & T stated "unilaterally dropped the network and local community programming" and refused to extend the existing distribution agreement until August 2.

For the first time, more households are drawing a digital streaming service than for a traditional payment tv subscription. Buzz60's Sean Dowling has more.
Disputes between content providers and cable and satellite providers are not uncommon, as companies are trying to negotiate new offers.
Nexstar, also known as the Nexstar Broadcasting Group, says it owns, operates, programs, or provides sales and other services to 174 full-TV stations and related digital multicast signals that reach 100 markets or nearly 39% of all American television hops.
"Nexstar remains eager to conclude an agreement with DIRECTV in accordance with those it has done with each other cable, satellite and telecommunications provider to complete DIRECTV's action, which is both unnecessary and punitive for its subscribers, says Nexstar's opinion.
AT & T, the largest pay-TV Providers in the United States with 24.5 million subscribers said it can also be negotiated.
"We share your frustration and work to return your local channels as soon as possible, say AT & T & # 39; declaration. "These types of disputes are often resolved quickly, and we hope this will be the case this time."
How to see your shows
AT & T says subscribers who lost access have some options.

Nexstar offered further options in his statement.
