A Carninval Cruise Line ship rescued two dozen people who were in trouble out on the water Saturday.
Carnival Sensation helped a small boat that was in distress in international waters just 60 miles off the coast of Palm Beach, Carnival said.
Sensation came along the side of the boat and gave them on board blankets, life jackets, water and food. When their boat began to take water, Sensation rescued all 24 people and brought them on board.
The rescued were from different nationalities and included two children. The group was evaluated on the cruise ship by a medical team and was then quarantined away from the crew aboard the Sensation.
Carnival Cruise Line ships do not operate and have only minimal crew on board.
Later, the U.S. Coast Guard took the 24 people out of the cruise ship.
