The Brewers are in the process of completely dripping the Cardinals right now (currently 17-2) and it could be the kind of game where tensions run high.
Apparently escalating words right after Cardinals catcher Yadi Molina was hit behind the plate on a catcher’s interference with Ryan Braun at the plate:

Mike Shildt goes to #Brewers dugout. He leads this and he still shouts at them. Even as Maddux tries to separate, Gyorko tries to mediate. Shildt is still talking to Sedar about it. It was clear that he heard something from Brewer̵7;s dugout – and hurried to confrontation.

As we’ve seen and said before – including in Cubs games – you just can not have this kind of escalation this season. Yes, the risk of some mass transmission of COVID-19 due to a scrum is low, but there is no good reason at all to increase this risk, especially between multiple teams. I don ‘t care how crazy Mike Shildt and Yadi Molina were – no matter what the breweries said – you just can’ t go to the other team’s digging like that. Not right now.
When the Reds bench came to the Cubs, it settled the network of Reds several short suspensions and fines. Will this Brewers-Cardinals scrape lead to the same thing? Not that both teams can afford to go down on any players right now, especially the Cardinals, as they make up far more games than there are days left in the season.
