The Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has been accused of new crimes in connection with a fight last year at a New York City strip club. Accusation filed in state court on Friday charges Cardi B with two counts of crime attempted assault and various minor charges. She had previously been accused of misdemeanor ruthless extinction and attack count, CBS New York reported.
Police say Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, and her affiliation was in the club on August 29, when she argued with a bartender. They say a fight broke out where chairs, bottles and hookahs were thrown, causing minor injuries to the woman and another employee.
Cardi B rejected a complaint agreement earlier this year from the Queens District Attorney's Office. Her lawyer claims she did not hurt anyone during the incident, reports CBS New York.
Prosecutors said she should appear at an arraignment next week in Queens. There was no immediate response to a message seeking comments from her lawyer on Friday.
