Or maybe they just think that internet citizens will click on something with a cute cat on it.

Ever since the first pictures for Captain Marvel started Marvel's marketing department has been very careful about putting the movie's true star configuration and center: Carol Danvers & # 39; cute tabby cat, Goose. Goose (Chewie in the comics) has been there since the beginning, looking out of the edges of big advertising pictures and humanizing the old (young) sourpuss Nick Fury and now promoting the film from his very own movie poster. [19659004] All this raises the question: How much of this is advertising, and how much is foreshadowing for some great revelations about Carol's feline companion? After all, in the comic books, Chewie is finally revealed to be a real stranger rather than a cat, with all sorts of extraterrestrial powers at his disposal.

Honestly, however, this little sucker is already in the intersection of "cute cats" and "Marvel movies" and thus orders Thanos-esque power levels over most of the internet as it is. Who needs space keys when you have that kind of mythical power at your disposal?
