Canon has announced its first two instant cameras, IVY CLIQ + and CLIQ. Both cameras can store digital images and print them on ZINK photo paper.
Instant cameras are big business these days, with Fujifilm's instantaneous camera line that outseller its digital cameras with over 3x, and now Canon wants a piece of that pie (or slice of that market share).
IVY CLIQ and CLIQ + are both small compact cameras, with CLIQ + as more premium of the two. Both cameras accept 2 × 3-inch ZINK paper (10 sheets at a time), have a built-in flash, have an optical viewfinder, offer microSD card storage, auto exposure and auto focus, USB charging and powered by internal lithium polymer batteries.
CLIQ has a 5 megapixel sensor behind the wide-angle lens, while CLIQ + offers 8 megapixels.
While the front of CLIQ & # 39; has a small integrated selfie mirror, the whole frontline area of the CLIQ + is a large 2-inch selfie mirror with built-in frame lines.
CLIQ + also has an LED ring light, remote shutter and self-timer.
But the biggest additional feature offered by CLIQ + is Bluetooth wireless connectivity that allows the camera to be paired with the Canon Mini Print mobile app.
The app features a variety of image design options such as filters, photo frames and text to provide many opportunities for creating tough photos, Canon says. "Through the app, users can also customize their experience by recording their own on / off and shutter sounds. Users can even remotely record for the ever impressive group image."
ZINK prints can be shared with friends and used as 2 × 3 inch stickers .
Both CLIQ and CLIQ + will be available in a variety of colors beginning in April 2019 and will cost $ 100 and $ 160 respectively. pack of ZINK paper is bundled with each camera and you can buy more 2 × 3-inch ZINK photo paper for approx. $ 0.30 to $ 0.50 per Sheet.
