This exotic image from Ventura County Sheriff's Department displays a fake license plate. A large rich truck driver has been arrested after the authorities have seen this fake license plate on its rig.

A tractor-trailer driver was arrested after a California motorcycle master found his fake license plate.

Moorpark Police Senior Attorney David Anaya assisted another driver last month when he saw a semi with a "host of mechanical violations." The truck also had a fake 1960-black black plate with yellow wobbly writing "Califas" instead of California and a number of letters and numbers.

"What really caught my eye was the license plate – especially the letters on top where he had written" Califas & # 39;, "Anaya says. "It was like standing out like a tender thumb."

Anaya took over the truck and noted that the driver, 41-year-old Jorge Salazar, appeared to be under the influence of drugs. He saw a small amount of methamphetamine in common sight and found Salazar an excellent guarantee of a hit-and-run.

Rejected vanity cards: Profanity, induendoes, and slurs rejected in Nevada [19659000] & # 39; silly mistake: One owed $ 5,473 in tolls used a gadget to hide his license plate, police said

In addition to the fake plate Salazar was arrested for "driving under the influence, possession of methamphetamine, being an unlicensed driver and having an active warrant for his arrest", according to a press release from Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

Having a changed record is illegal in the state of California, anaya said, and the civil penalties for the offense alone can be between $ 600 and $ 800.

salazar was booked in jail but has since been released on the bond police told KTLA. The tractor trailer was pulled because it was considered unsafe to drive, the Sheriff's office said.

Authorities noted that the department has strengthened its commercial traffic enforcement due to security issues and has drawn more than 60 trailers and commercial vehicles since the beginning of last year.

"Deputies from the Moorpark Police Department will continue to enforce the California Vehicle Code for commercial vehicles traveling through the city," the authorities said in a press release. "As mentioned above, these targeted trials have ensured safe travel for all drivers."
