Cactus Jack: Travis Scott bid for large quantities at the McDonalds event

Musician Travis Scott gets a fine from the town of Downey after a monstrous crowd of 500 people gathered at a McDonald’s restaurant to meet him and try his new Cactus Jack meal.

Travis, 28, who has a daughter, Stormi, two with Kylie Jenner, 23, has partnered with the fast food giant and it has created quite a bit of madness.

According to TMZ, both Travis and McDonald’s in Downey, California were quoted by the city because they did not have permits for the collection.

Travis had reportedly not obtained an event or film permit for the attendees before showing up to greet fans waiting in line to try his meal.

Both quotes come with $ 100 fines, so he and McDonalds will not be out of pocket as they will have to stump $ 200.

Travis was bullied a week ago when he arrived at the restaurant by fans, as the site reports, many of whom had no masks or social distance.

He was forced to run for cover.

A Downey spokesman told TMZ: ‘Cops reported about 500 people in attendance and PD sent several units to ensure the large crowd was safe.

MailOnline has contacted a spokesman for both Travis Scott and McDonald’s for comment.

The $ 6 Cactus Jack meal, to be ordered via the McDonald’s app, consists of a Quarter Pounder with cheese, bacon and salad, french fries with BBQ sauce and a medium Sprite.

USA Today reported on Tuesday that McDonald’s was running out of ingredients due to demand for Travis’ new meal, which sounds very similar to the usual Quarter Pounder meal.

McDonald’s said in a statement: ‘In fact, it has been so reported that some of our restaurants have temporarily sold out some of the ingredients in the meal.

‘We work closely with our suppliers, distributors and franchisees to supply affected restaurants as quickly as possible.’

Meanwhile, McDonald’s and Travis collaborated on a new series of limited-edition merchandise that includes a chicken mold-shaped pillow.

The collaboration was launched on September 8 and also includes T-shirts, shorts, hats and other things, but it is the 36-inch McNugget pillow that creates the most buzz.

And despite $ 90 per. Price – and a warning that it will not be sent for nine to 12 weeks – the pillow is already sold out.

In fact, it appears that all items from the collaboration have already sold out, some of which are already popping up on resale sites, even though they have not been shipped yet.

Other pieces from collab include T-shirts, sweatshirts and sweatpants with varying McDonald’s-themed art.

There are also denim shorts with a Cactus Jack x McDonald’s logo, another pair of shorts with an Egg McMuffin package pattern and several caps.

For non-portable merch, there is a $ 250 rug with a vintage McDonalds menu printed on it, a $ 30 lunch tray, a $ 45 lunch box, a $ 78 rug, 10 to $ 25 plastic cups and a $ 65 six foot high cardboard cut of action character Travis Scott from his 2015 album.

‘I could not be more excited to bring Cactus Jack x McDonald’s collaboration to life,’ Travis said in a press release. ‘We bring together two iconic worlds. Including a charitable component was key for me and I can’t wait for people to see what we have in store. ‘

Even though the item is sold out, fans can still get in on the fun of having Travis’ favorite meal at their local restaurant: a Quarter Pounder with cheese, a medium-sized range of fries with BBQ sauce and Sprite – for just $ 6.

Customers only need to say that Cactus Jack sent them until October 4th.

‘Everyone has a favorite McDonald’s meal, no matter who you are,’ McDonald’s US Chief Marketing Officer Morgan Flatley said in a press release.

‘Travis is a true McDonalds fan who grew up visiting our restaurants in Houston, not to mention one of the greatest musical acts and cultural icons in the world.

‘This is the first time in almost 30 years we’re introducing a superstar to our menu – we’re excited to bring Travis Scott Meal to a McDonald’s near you from next week.’

The last time was in 1992 with Michael Jordan.

McDonald’s has sold some crazy goods before – in fact, the chain sold Quarter Pounder-scented candles earlier this year.

In February, the company launched the Quarter Pounder Fan Club, an offshoot of its official multi-item merchandise line celebrating its beloved cheeseburger.

The most eye-catching addition was a pack of six scented candles, each smelling of a different Quarter Pounder ingredient.

The package contains six custom scented candles inspired by Quarter Pounder ingredients. There is one with scents like bun, ketchup, pickles, cheese, onions and ‘100% fresh beef.’

The idea seems to be that burning them all at once will make a room smell like a Quarter Pounder, but it also allows customers to burn only an onion-scented or ketchup-scented candle.

The candles joined several other quirky merchandise options on the website, including a sesame seed umbrella, gold-colored medallion with the golden bows stamped on it, hair bands, socks, T-shirts, a beanie and a lounge set.
