Emmanuel Ogbah did not report to the Browns offseason program Monday in anticipation of being traded in the near future, a source AdamPef.com says Adam Schefter (on Twitter ). Browns have shopped the defensive end and it sounds like a deal could be just around the corner.
After a foot injury ended his 2017 season, Ogbah suffered an ankle member in early 2018. However, the previous second round picked off and delivered three bags in 14 games (all starting). Ogbah has 12.5 career bags and can be an option as a complementary passport rusher or depth piece elsewhere, although it will depend on what Browns will consider an acceptable return.
There is no room for Ogbah in Cleveland with Myles Garrett and Olivier Vernon as start books and Chad Thomas, Chris Smith and Anthony Zettel supporting the high profile duo. He seems to follow wide receiving Ricardo Louis, another relic of the Sashi Brown era, out the door.
