Bridget Moynahan and Tom Brady's breakup made headlines mostly due to timing. Now they have continued to be friends to be able to parent their son together. Blue Bloods actress revealed how much of a fight it was
Bridget Moynahan cowrote a new book called Our Shoes, our selves
The actor previously published a cookbook based on her show called Blue Bloods Cook Book . She is back with a new book called Our shoes, our selves: 40 women, 40 stories, 40 pairs of shoes.
It's filled with anthology essays by women about their memories associated with their most significant pair of shoes. The book is co-written by Moynahan,
journalist Amanda Benchley, and pictures are by Melanie Dunea. Some of the proceeds from the book will go to Charity Girls, Inc.
There are 40 stories and some amazing women are included. Bobbi Brown, Danica Patrick, Misty Copeland, Christiane Amanpour and Katie Couric are some of the many high profile women profiled in it.
Moynahan also wrote an essay for the book. She talked about the inspiration behind the essay in an interview.
She said she was being followed while pregnant in cars, and people would hide in her bushes. Oynahan revealed that her essay is about her fight in 2007 expecting her baby with her ex-boyfriend Tom Brady. He already moved on to Gisele Bündchen, who made their breakout a greater focus in the media.
"Being pregnant and having a baby is such personal, intimate moments," she explained. Instead of getting that room, she was followed.
"I wanted cars after me, and men are hiding in bushes outside my house," Moynahan revealed. "As a new mother, you just want to protect your child. That kind of attention felt like a threat."
Once she hid from photographers, she saw a pair of Barneys motorcycle boots. "I thought that's what I needed. Let me get some of my" New York "back, a little armor," she said.
Now she has nothing but good things to say about co-parenting with her ex. Brady is married to Bündchen, and Moynahan is married to Andrew Frankel.
"Tom and I decided to raise a child together and we both found partners who not only supported us in raising the child but also loved our child as if they were their own," she said . "I don't think you can ask for more than that. My son is surrounded by love."
Followed while pregnant sounds definitely scary. Fans can read the essay in the book, which is available for pre-ordering and will be available in Barnes & Noble on April 9, 2019.
