Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer adds a long awaited feature PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC players have been asking about since launch. More specifically, Treyarch’s community manager, over on Reddit, has confirmed that Rank Play is coming to the game, but right now the community manager does not have a schedule to share. And right now, there are zero details on how it will be implemented and what it means for the game’s multiplayer mode.
For example, it is unclear whether casual playlists continue to use skill-based matchmaking, also known as SBMM. A ranked mode and a relaxed mode using SBMM are more or less the same thing, so if ranked mode is added, you assume that SBMM will be removed or at least reduced in casual playlists. But for now, this is just speculation.
Unfortunately, while Treyarch has confirmed that the feature is on its way, there is no word on when it will be implemented or when more details will be shared.
It is also unclear why Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War did not send with a ranked state and it is also unclear why it has not been added yet. There has been a lot of demand since the launch, yet we are two months removed from the release and it is still not added.
In addition to a ranked state, it also looks like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War getting ready to add one of Modern warfare most controversial weapons. Beyond this, there is not a ton going on with the game right now, but tomorrow, when the game̵
