Activision, Treyarch and Raven Software have announced that new content is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War & Warzone as part of Season One Reloaded.
In a new blog post on the Call of Duty website, the company has revealed all new content as Season One continues in Black Ops Cold War.
The first of the updates is in the middle of the seasonal update for Black Ops Cold War, which includes a new Fireteam map, new MP modes and more across the game.
And then new content is scheduled to arrive from February 4 with the release of the Express MP card and the next Zombies card, Firebase Z.
Take a deep dive into what’s new from Activision:
And the action does not stop there. On February 4, prepare to witness the harrowing next chapter in the Dark Aether story of Zombies and return to a competitive fan favorite Black Ops II cards in Multiplayer, in addition to fresh bundles being rolled out at the beginning of the month to celebrate the season̵
Need a visual on your target? We got you covered and then some.
Wakizashi (available now)
A personal defense weapon and companion sword for the samurai’s katana. This traditionally forged blade uses two types of steel in its construction and is light, elastic to force and durable to wear.
Compared to the standard knife, Wakizashi offers a slightly better range in exchange for speed, which opens up new strategies for those who swear by bringing knives to arms combat.
Like the Streetsweeper shotgun, the Wakizashi can be unlocked via in-game challenge, where it can then be leveled to camos and XP. A blueprint from the same weapon family is also available today in the all-new “Disavowed Assassin” package.
Operator Zeyna joins the fight on January 21st
NATO gets another bad operator in their ranks when Zeyna Ossou, last seen alongside Bulldozer and Russel Adler at The Pines Mall to shut down Stitch, will be ready for deployment next week.
This Senegal-born DGSE mobility and heavy weapons specialist has been a motto for as long as she can remember. She grows up around the garages of her father to rally driver and laughs that she has gasoline in her veins. Although she’s a risk taker and a bit of a wild card during infiltrations, Zeyna’s colleagues know her to be the one you want at the tip of the spear.
Get Zeyna to Black Ops Cold War and War zone as part of a Great Bundle in season 1.
Two Multiplayer Cards
Sanatorium (Live now)
Ten teams of four will head up to the Ural Plain to battle for targets and vehicles on land, at sea and in the air.
Here in the Urals is a Soviet experimental health retreat – the focus of a secret investigation conducted by NATO forces in September 1984. Low-lying hilly hills cover troops to get reconnaissance over the main, roughly circular main “hotel”: a concrete, brutalist architectural behemoth flanked by lake structures and a large wooden dock.
With links to secret tests within State Sanatorium U-23, notes found within this scattered complex indicate a conditioning attempt known as Project Golova.
Express (6v6) (February 4)
Returning from Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Express arrives February 4 in Black Ops Cold War as a 6v6 multiplayer favorite, affectionately known as the high-tech train station that hosted many a jaw-dropping moment in competitive Call of Duty history.
Express is a largely U-shaped map with two train tracks running around the main hall of the transport hub. Players can expect plenty of melee in the hall, but should note that its glass ceiling leaves it susceptible to enemy scorestreaks.
Long-distance combat can take place across the train tracks, especially when looking out from the sky bridges on either side of the map. These areas are also good places to watch one of the high-speed trains frolic at the station on one of the tracks, where it will not hesitate to take out an operator who has nothing against the hole.
Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer receives even more new game modes throughout Season 1 as well as the continuation of the fast paced 3v3 experience, Face Off.
Dropkick (Live Now)
This hectic game of nuclear potato features two teams each fighting for control of an extremely important briefcase. The round begins with each team running to the location of the nuclear briefcase and trying to retrieve it. Anyone who grabs the briefcase is automatically equipped with a powerful gun, but it is ideally up to the rest of the team to keep the briefcase carrier safe. The team with the case gets access to launch codes as well as an ever-increasing score for their team.
If you die while your team checks the briefcase, you will not respond until your carrier has been removed and the briefcase has fallen. If your team does not carry the case, flush it out and pick it up before it is too late. When a team reaches the point limit by controlling and owning the briefcase, orders to carry out a nuclear attack are confirmed and the round is won … in a very explosive way! The first team to 200 points wins.
Snipers Only Moshpit (in season)
Get ready, sniper. Later in season one, Treyarch brings the new Snipers Only Moshpit mode to Black Ops Cold War, where two teams of six will throw down in Team Deathmatch and Domination with all weapons limited except sniper rifles. Deadly and tactical equipment as well as Scorestreak weapons (such as War Machine) will also be limited to a pure sniper-only experience.
Endurance mode (in season)
Following this season’s tactical Duos variation, Black Ops Cold War greatest game mode is taking the 10-team experience to a whole new level.
In the upcoming Endurance variant, 10 teams of four will drop into Alpine, Ruka and Sanatorium to collect uranium and arm bombs throughout the match. But after a bomb detonates, a new one now comes online to take place, ensuring that there will always be five bombs available instead of an initial set of five being reduced to a single bomb. This introduces a new layer of strategy and non-stop action to these already intense 40-player battlefields.
The score limit also doubles from 500 to 1,000 in endurance mode, making this perfect for performing MP challenges. Jump in with your team and experience the game’s most detailed maps in a whole new way.
3v3 Face Off continues
This fast, small team mode is here to stay in season 1, and it’s ready for your trio to claim dominance in respawn modes across four frenetic cards in Black Ops Cold War.
If you have not experienced Face Off yet, this playlist has 3v3 Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed and Domination game modes on the latest Gunfight cards: Game Show, ICBM, U-Bahn and KGB.
Great for gathering gun camouflage challenges or a quick warm-up before diving into major modes, Face Off will be shown throughout the sequel to Season 1 beyond this week.
