When Ben Stiller's daughter goes up to college, he could not do without breaking a joke about the admission scandal that rocked the lives of celebrity and socialite parents.
"It's amazing she's going to Yale on a full soccer scholarship and she's going to get bigger in Photoshop," Stiller told "The Ellen Show", referring to the part of the bribery scandal involving students having their head edited on athletes so they could be recorded as recruits – without actually having sports information.
The actor, 53, who was in town to take her daughter Ella to Southern California schools, acknowledged that while looking at colleges, it can be stressful to get there to be honest. 1
Ella, who was studying, said she would follow in her father's footsteps, mother Christine Taylor and grandparents, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, and get into acting as Ben said he is on board.
"She loves it, and she is very passionate about it and she knows what she wants to do. I knew when I was 10 or 11 years old I wanted to run movies and finally act as well," he said. "It's a crazy business that you know, so I just want to support him in every way legally."
Actress Lori Loughlin was taken into custody last week after she and her husband had allegedly paid $ 500,000 in bribes to get their two daughters into USC crew recruiting (even though they had never messed up).
