PORTLAND, Maine (AP) – Nine nurses working in work and delivery units at the largest hospital in Maine expect babies in the coming months. Maine Medical Center announced the baby's bonanza with a Facebook post Monday with eight of the nine nurses and their respective heads.
The infant army is expected to arrive between April and July. The Portland Hospital photo showed that the nurses were scrubs at their hospitals and briefly stating their due dates. There were pinks and blues among the cards along with two yellow and one green.
The caregivers support each other during their pregnancies. WMTW-TV reports that they plan to be there for each other's deliveries. The hospital says that all nine are registered nurses.
