Avengers: Endgame returned to the theaters over the weekend with bonus recordings, but it still hasn't passed Avatar as the biggest cashier over time – and it never can.
According to box office insiders who spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the case. Re-release pulled in $ 5.5 million in the US and Canada over the weekend and another $ 2.3 million from overseas markets. In total, Endgame has now made $ 2.76 billion worldwide. That's about $ 27 million that's less than Avatar's 2.78 billion record.
The insiders at the cash register told the THR that Endgame will not surpass Avatar in the near future if ever. The suggestion is that it is theoretically possible that the film will be released again down the road, even though nothing has been confirmed. Avatar was again released after it was originally premiered and the second round helped make $ 33 million more.
Endgame returned to theaters, not just in an attempt to obtain Avatar's cashier's office, but also as a tie-to Spider-Man: Far from home. The film that opens this week is about the events of Endgame.
Avatar recently became Disney property as Disney acquired the majority of Fox's entertainment assets. In fact, Disney owns 7 of the top 1
