Could a change in the All Star vote help the Atlanta Braves and get more of their roster in the middle of the summer showcase?
Voting is typically well underway at this time of year for the annual Major League all star game. However, the rules have changed (again) this year: the vote will be implemented differently and later. This can benefit the Atlanta Braves.
This year there will be a "polling day" where fans will vote for each position of a group of 3 finalists decided by a committee.
Personally I Like this better because let's see it, some players were stumbled by the old system.
Let's take a look at four Atlanta Braves players who will be All Stars this year.
4th Freddie Freeman
The master of the Braves will surely be a 4X all star this summer that excludes any damage of any kind. Freddie Freeman puts together another great excellent season so far.
Freddie is mostly due to his red heat production during the last 7 to 10 games, to surpass his figures from his 2018 season when he finished fourth in the MVP poll.
The question with Freddie is, will he be the starter? I'm not 100% sure which position MLB wants Cody Bellinger listed on. I will admit if he is listed as 1B, then he deserves the place over Freeman.
If not, Freddie should, in my view, be listed as starting to NL at First Base even over Pirates Josh Bell. 19659007] Clearly, an advantage that Freddie will have is that we all know how big and wide the Brave country is, and I'm sure the voices will come out in full force. Other players who could participate in the poll are Pete Alonso, Anthony Rizzo and Rhys Hoskins.
