Arkansas State Trooper turns pregnant car at 60 MPH as she tries to pull over

Video released earlier this week shows a Arkansas police officer performing a precision immobilization technique (PIT) maneuver against a pregnant driver during a traffic jam, causing her car to turn out and face a concrete median. Nicole Harper, the woman in the vehicle, is now suing Officer Senior Cpl. Rodney Dunn and claimed that he negligently used deadly force during the July 2020 altercation that took place in Pulaski County. Harper was pregnant at the time, but did not lose her daughter when she feared she might. Dunn claims he was trying to pull Harper over to drive too fast as she was going 84km / h despite a speed limit of 70km / h at which point she was bolting. Harper said she was looking for a safe place to stop on the highway that had a reduced shoulder. Dashcam video shows Harper̵

7;s vehicle braking up to 60km / h and turning on her hazard lights as she looked for a place to stop. After the crash, Dunn asked her, “Why didn’t you stop?” Harper replied, “Because I did not feel it was safe.” And Dunn said, “Well, this is where you ended up.”
