Today, Apple publishes iOS 12.1.4 for iPhones tonight. The company's latest update to iOS includes a critical solution for a serious FaceTime error that occurred earlier this month.
An error in FaceTime allowed the person calling another person on FaceTime to accept the call and let them hear the receiver's microphone before the call was even picked up. The error was a problem with Group FaceTime, a feature launched by Apple with iOS 12.
The company was quick to remove disable Group FaceTime even though it was completely disabled by the Group FaceTime feature. Today's patch completely solves the problem, which means you can make Group FaceTime calls once again without worrying about this error.
