Apex Legends season 9 launched for an enthusiastic response from gamers – but developer Respawn’s servers were not prepared for just how enthusiastic they would be. Since the season’s release earlier today, players have had a number of issues with Apex Legends due to congested infrastructure, including extreme difficulty getting into matches.
Respawn has shared its progress with rolling out fixes all day today on Twitter, but it has yet to fully squash the issues plaguing its servers. In its latest tweet, Respawn stated that unlocked signs and marketplace services should soon be returned to normal. In addition, some players have increasingly been successful in participating in matches, but the problems seem to persist for others.
Season 9, titled Legacy, brings with it a wide range of changes and additions, most notably a permeant hold deathmatch mode called arenas and a composite archery weapon. The Season 9 patch also updates the Lifeline character. For the full list of changes, see Apex Legends Season 9 patch notes.
