The incident took place around kl. 13.30 local time when a group of people protested outside McClellan Airport, where the president met with California Government Gavin Newsom to discuss the ongoing forest fires that are ravaging the state.
At one point during the demonstration, protesters surrounded a California Highway Patrol cruise outside the airport, according to a video posted to Twitter by NBC Bay Area reporter Jodi Hernandez.
One of the protesters, who was wearing a red hat, then jumps on the hood of the car and then tumbles from behind as the driver drives faster, footage shows.
Another person wearing a “Trump sucks” T-shirt also fell into the chaos, The Sacramento Bee reported.
Some protesters ran to their fellow demonstrator for help lying on the ground, while others shouted at the driver’s driver, video shows.
