The trailer for Ryan Murphy’s spin-off anthology series, American horror stories, takes it all the way back to the beginning, to the twisted but beloved Murder House from the first season of American horror story.
We see a new group of unfortunate souls taking on the deeply demented and spirit-filled house with the familiar, yet faceless Rubber man reappears to hand out more torture. The trailer gives viewers a taste of all the awful stories to come, such as a possessive movie, a murderous Santa Claus (played by only and only Danny Trejo), and a pig’s head shower. Yesterday, Murphy announced AHS alums Matt Bomer, Billie Lourd, Naomi Grossman, and John Carroll Lynch, returns to American horror stories. The full cast includes Aaron Tveit, Paris Jackson, Madison Bailey, Virginia Garndner, Belissa Escobedo, Rhenzy Feliz, Gavin Creel, Kaia Gerber, Sierra McCormick and more. Murphy revealed on Twitter that the cast so far is “not even half of it”. Brad Falchuk, Alexis Martin Woodall, John J. Gray and Manny Coto join Murphy as executive producers.
During 16 hours of weekly episodes, American horror stories will unleash a new hell, from the mysterious to the political. The nightmares start on July 15th on FX On Hulu, med American Horror Story: Double Feature premiere on August 25 FX . In the middle of all those AHS news this week, the name of the first episode of Dual function was shared: “Cape Fear.” The title strikes back to the classic 1962 psychological thriller as well as 1991 Martin Scorsese re-recording with AHS pillars Jessica Lange.
