Active shooting game taken down at Ft. Detrick and Frederick; 2 wounded, schools on lockdown



An active shooter has been taken down at Ft. Detrick in Frederick, Maryland after an incident Tuesday morning, authorities say.

The incident was originally reported around 8:30 a.m. in the 8400 block of Progress Drive. Pictures from the scene show law enforcement activities near the gates of the military installation.

Officials say two people have been injured but have not elaborated.

All schools in Frederick are locked at this time.

Maryland State Police are assisting with the investigation, and Government Hogan has been brief about the situation.
