Abandoned, a new movie horror shooter, announced exclusively for PS5

Today, Sony and developer Blue Box Game Studios unveiled a new, cinematic, first-person horror survival survival shooter with a realistic, spooky vibe. It’s called Abandoned, and it’s made exclusively for PS5.In a blog post, game director Hasan Kahraman showed the above first look at Abandoned and noted that it is still in early development and can be changed. Abandoned follows the story of Jason Longfield waking up in a forest alone with no idea how he got there. As he tries to find his way out, he reveals an eerie purpose behind being brought to the forest and having to fight his way to safety.

Blue Box promises that Abandoned will focus on realism and not just the visual. If Jason runs out of breath from the sprint, it will be harder to shoot accurately. And firing weapons will be “realistically slow”

; using DualShock’s technology to add a level of realistic feel to pulling a gun trigger or being hit by a bullet. It also uses 3D sound, which it says will help players know exactly when and where to shoot their gun.

Abandoned is scheduled for the end of this year, and Blue Box says it’s already running at 60 fps and 4K resolution. A full gameplay video is scheduled for release soon.

Blue Box has previously made a few attempts to haunt realism. In 2015, it had a title on Steam Greenlight called Rewind: The Voices of the Past about a young woman who could see and communicate with dead people, even though it never left Greenlight. It’s also the studio behind The Haunting: Blood Water Curse, which is now in early access on Steam – though the game has since been acquired by another studio, Createq Interactive.

Abandoned joins a number of other upcoming titles scheduled for PS5’s 2021 exclusive list, including Returnal later this month, Ratchet and Clank: A Rift Apart in June, Horizon Forbidden West and Destruction AllStars Out Now, which we found fun in small outbursts. but otherwise shallow.
