A German jeweler fatally shoots two suspected robbers in the 70s: rapport



BERLIN – Police say a jeweler in the northern German town of Celle has shot dead two men suspected of trying to rob his business.

JEWELERY stolen in $ 1.1m German hoist was reported uninsured

The German news agency dpa reported on Tuesday that one suspected robber was killed on the spot, while the other later died at the hospital.

Cell police have appealed for witnesses to the incident Monday afternoon to appear. They are particularly interested in hearing from any tourists who may have taken pictures in Celle’s picturesque old town at the time.

The owner and his wife, both in their early 70s, were the only people in the jewelry store at the time of the alleged robbery.
