A system will work its way into the field of vision, giving more snow. Here's what you need to know.
Winter Weather Advisory in force from midnight to noon. 6pm Sunday most of the viewing area.
Timing / Accumulation
The snow moves in after midnight on Sunday morning, and will last for most of the day, so if you have plans, they will likely be affected. Allow lots of extra time. I think we are starting to see things come to an end in the evening.
Much of central Illinois will see snow totals in the 2-3 "row. With smaller amounts along and east of I-55, while spots north and west of the Illinois River Valley will look a little more than 2-3". People closer to Quad Cities are likely to see accumulation closer to 4 ".
The week ahead
Most of Saturday night becomes quiet but cold, so the snow moves in after midnight. After Sunday's snow, quiet conditions turn back to the beginning of the week with more snow that may affect us in the middle of the week. Temperatures are slightly below average with heights near or slightly below freezing.
