The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 1,677 confirmed COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total state to 556,307 since the start of the pandemic. State health officials also added 25 confirmed COVID-19-related deaths to the state’s total number, which is now 15,992.
