Every few months, a foot washes ashore in British Columbia, and while it is terribly scary, the authorities will know that there is nothing. running shoes in September is discovered in the area since 2007. Coroner service in the Canadian province has not been able to identify who it belongs yet and Monday asked for public help.
"We see no indication that evil games are suspected," says Andy Watson, a spokesman for British Columbia Coroners Service. "Sometimes they are natural deaths or suicides or accidental deaths (as a fall)."
Why are only feet washing on land? The authorities have said it is because of the way people break down. They note that the feet are protected by shoes from the elements and marine creatures.
Ten previous feet have been matched with missing people, said the coroners service on his website. Watson said several were linked as couples.
This fifth foot was found and DNA tests were unable to bind the remains to a missing person. The authorities published a picture of a light gray Nike Free RN shoe with white laces, a sole and a blue sock. It was a left shoe, men's size 9.5.
The bone structure indicates that the person was younger than 50, said the coroner office.
