A 12-year-old girl died Sunday after a snowbank collapsed on top of her outside an Illinois church.
WGN reports first responders were called to the Arlington Heights church just before 3 p.m.
Two girls, ages 9 and 12, were playing in a snowbank when they had built collapsed on top of officials,
The girls' families were attending a church service inside when the girls went out to play. After they didn't come back inside, they found them trapped in the snow.
The two were rushed to the hospital, where the 9-year-old girl was treated for hypothermia.
According to Fox News, foul play is not suspected in the incident, as police said it "appears to be a tragic accident."
